PAST presidents
It's 1930, and construction is approved for the Colorado River Aqueduct, to bring water to 2.2 million parched souls in Los Angeles County. The movie Frankenstein is being filmed in Universal City, and Oran W. Ott became the first president of ASHRAE's Southern California Chapter.
Fast‐forward 85 years. LA County is now home to 9.8 million residents, and ASHRAE's Southern California Chapter has grown to over 700 members. These professionals are rising to the challenge ASHRAE's banner, "Shaping Tomorrow's Built Environment Today". Our chapter awards over $15,000 in scholarships to college students every year, and we spread the word of our vocation to high school students at local ACE and Boy Scout Events -Jay Madden, past chapter president 16'-17'
We have a strong sense of community in our chapter and we are proud of it!
