Panel Discussion Topic: “Zero Net Energy: The Good, The Bad, The Indifferent”

Our objective is to have representation from 4 groups: Design, Product, Construction, and Owner. We are hoping to connect a representative from each sector, although I believe we could produce an informative and engaging program regardless. The end game is to use the dinner program as a means of elevating the visibility of ASHRAE and the SoCal Chapter among engineers and students.

What we would like to address with the panel topic is a discussion of the following: If ZNE is the goal, and if a timeline has been established, what can we do collectively to ensure that the objective is met? The purpose for involving different stakeholders is to consider whether actions are being taken collectively; does it matter if they are, and; if it does, and we are not yet there, how can we correct that situation?
